I just walked in the door after an hour long walk on the beach. It was sundown and Long Beachians were buzzing around on the boardwalk staying active and fit. They were on skates, they were on bikes, they were on foot. Some were in pairs, girlfriends keeping each other up to date on the latest, a father and his son riding bikes.
Some were alone, just them and their iPod. I was in the latter category of people, rocking out to my favorite tunes and taking in the scenery as if I was watching a movie.
My 'bring it on home' song was Dazz by Brick (video here), one of my favorite funk songs, a song I did not hear at the Long Beach Funk Fest this weekend.
Here are the other songs that laid the soundtrack for a spectacular, energizing walk in Long Beach. (All links go to iTunes, enjoy).
