Gal VanIZed is a character created by Sheri Zampelli which she developed during the two years she skated the banked track with the L.A. Derby Dolls fresh meat (2007-2009). Zampelli's goal is to galvanize her audience to overcome fear, be strengthened by life and be bold enough to embrace authenticity and personal power in a fun, creative, joy-filled manner. Zampelli is the author of two books and publishes a blog at iamgalvanized.com. She hosts The Sheri and Erin Show, a live call-in show where she and Erin discuss insights on A Course in Miracles and help listeners choose love over fear. The show is avaliable on Blogtalk radio and iTunes. Sheri is a certified clinical hypnotherapist and college instructor and has helped thousands to overcome self-defeating behaviors. Her life story is one of personal triumph. Ms. Zampelli lived the first 21 years of her life immersed in a lifestyle that included abuse, addiction, mental illness and homelessness. After experiencing a number of tragedies, dramas and failures in life, Zampelli began to seek an explanation of the root and the cure for self-sabotage. The end result is that she has obtained a broad education in the school of hard knocks, has studied a slew of books and has earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and her master's degree in counseling from California State University, Long Beach. Sheri Zampelli is the past president of Agape Toastmasters (2011) and was honored as Toastmaster of the Year in 2009. She has appeared on national television and has been featured in magazine publications such as Woman’s Day and Mademoiselle. She is available for media interviews and public speaking engagements as well as private hypnosis and coaching sessions. Zampelli lives with her husband in Southern California.
