Japandroids and I Don’t Want to Worry about Dying

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

I am currently in the eye of a transformational storm that’s running through my life. Just today I wrote in my icreatehabits.com blog about “waking up” and living life versus fearing death. Right after I wrote about it, I heard Young Hearts Spark Fire by Japandroids on XMU. One of the repeating lyrics is “I don’t wanna worry about dying I just wanna worry about the sunshine girls”. Crank it up and sing a long. Life is in session now.

Lyrics for Young Hearts Spark Fire by Japandroids

We finished our own lives
Now we finished off the wine
Now we’re used to staying up all night
Two hearts beating OH YEAH! OH YEAH!

Well you can keep tomorrow
after tonight we’re not gonna need it
Be there! (be there)
Be down! (be down)
Background, we’re too drunk to feel it

OOOOHHH!!!
We used to dream
Now we worry about dying

I don’t wanna worry about dying
I just wanna worry about those sunshine girls

YOUNG HEARTS!
SPARK FIRE!
ALL NIGHT!
OH YEAH! OH YEAH!

Well you can keep tomorrow
after tonight we’re not gonna need it
Be there! (be there)
Be down! (be down)
Background, we’re too drunk to feel it

OOOOHHH!!!
We used to dream
Now we worry about dying

I don’t wanna worry about dying
I just wanna worry about sunshine girls

OOOOHHH!!!

I don’t wanna worry about dying
I just wanna worry about the sunshine girls

It’s Never Too Late to Get Up on the Dance Floor

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

If you use the excuse of being “too old” to follow your passion, you need to watch this video to the very end. If you do, you’ll see a senior citizen bust some serious moves on the dance floor. Her skill and physical ability surpasses that of most people a fraction of her age. Inspiring.

Song of the Week – 3-9-10 – Answer to Yourself by Soft Pack

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

Lyrics for Answer to Yourself by Soft Pack

You gotta answer to yourself
You can’t depend on anyone else
You gotta know where you stand
And what’s in your hands
Yeah you gotta answer to yourself

You gotta write down what you know
You gotta make sure that it’s known
Because they’re coming along to see what you’ve done
And they’re gonna claim it for their own

You got a rabbit in your hat
You got a few tricks up your sleeve
Don’t get stuck in a rut
Or stuck in the same
You got exactly what you need

You got a talent don’t you know?
You’re more talented than you know
And you give it a shot
And give it the time
And be surprised how far it goes

But I think I’m gonna die
Before I see my time
But I think I’m gonna die
Try it anyway

You gotta answer to yourself
2 days a week outside yourself
You take an hour a day, an hour a day
And you don’t respond to anyone else

You got a few things on your shelf
You got to look through for yourself
You gotta choose what to read
Choose what to believe
And you don’t take it from anyone else

But I think I’m gonna die
Before I see my time
But I think I’m gonna die
Try it anyway
