Gal Vanized Birthday Celebration – Hula Hooping to Naked Raygun (feat. Jake Burns)

Sunday, November 21st, 2010
Yesterday was my birthday and I decided to have the best time ever and to do things that bring me joy. After all these years, my husband and I have finally surrendered to the fact that I won't grow out of my wildness anytime soon. So I had him shoot this video of me lip synching, hula hooping and jumping to Suspect Device with Naked Raygun (feat. Jake Burns of Stiff Little Fingers). I've been living most of my 45 years trying to please others and "tone it down". Although Gal Vanized had an appearance in the 80's, during the height of the Punk Rock scene in Los Angeles and a brief stint of fun with the L.A. Derby Dolls, at other times, she went deeeeep into hiding. Today is her official re-birth day. As stated in an earlier video, I'm "gettin' too old for this B.S." and it's time to galvanize. Are you ready to get galvanized? Find out more at http://iamgalvanized.com

‘Get off the Treadmill Feeling Pumped Up’ Playlist

Sunday, August 30th, 2009
I've discovered that if I want to make exercise a healthy habit, it must be fun. One of the ways I fun it up is to listen to music that rocks my body and soul. This is the iPod playlist I enjoyed tonight, on my treadmill, rockin' to the beat. Warning, if you're over 40 or easily disturbed by loud music with a solid beat, click away from this page while you can. If you're under 40 or have a young mind, click away and get ready to rock! (All links go to iTunes). Speaking of fun, here's a video of someone who hasn't quite mastered the art of dancing on the treadmill at high speeds. Watch his flip flops go flyin' at the end. Then, once you're done laughing, get on the treadmill and have fun. Stay safe! Marc-André Fleury Had a Great Fall

Sunday, May 25th, 2008
In addition to being a roller derby fan, I also love ice hockey. Especially the Stanley Cup Finals. The entire career of some of the players is on the line. Every single move matters. The excitement in the crowd is unstoppable. (As a side note, Every single Derby Doll bout is as exciting as just about any playoff game. As of now, you can still get tickets for the bout on May 31 between the Tough Cookies and the Sirens). Any Roller Derby lover, hockey player or hockey fan has to admit that some of the falls are fascinating. But this is the fall that takes them all. Check it out as Marc-André Fleury runs full speed toward the ice in his skates just before he falls face first in Pittsburgh. Remember, its the first day of the Stanley Cup Finals. Of course, someone got it on film and televised it. (Funny Video!)
