As if attending a roller derby match between the
L.A. Riettes and
Santa's Little Helpers isn't cool enough, the Derby Dolls have just announced that Gene Simmons (former
Kiss bassist) will play bass guitar while his daughter, Sophie Tweed-Simmons and long-time parther Shannon Tweed open the event with the singing the
national anthem.
After the anthem is sung, the mayhem begins when Derby Doll all-stars, the
LA Ri-ettes compete against a group of national all-stars,
Santa's Little Helpers.
Watch as some of the best jammers and blockers in the nation compete against each other at the Doll Factory in Los Angeles.

If you're ready to experience a night of all-girl, quad skating, unscripted and banked-track roller derby, come check it out on Saturday, December 13th, 2008. The Doll Factory is located at 1910 Temple St., Los Angeles, 90026. Doors open at 6:00 pm. This is a 21 and over event, beer and wine.
Tickets generally sell out before the event but if you're lucky enough to get in the night of the bout, bring your cash because it's a cash only event.
