Master Mind Monday – Love Made it Happen Right Away

MP3 File On June 1, 2011 The Sheri and Erin Show returns to Blogtalk Radio*. Between now and then, we have formed a Master Mind Group to keep us focused and in the flow. We named our group Four on the Floor and the members are Sheri, Erin, Linderella and Anthony Guy. In our first meeting...just last week, Erin lived in Las Vegas and Anthony lived in Georgia. They had a long distance relationship and a strong desire to be together. To our surprise, Anthony picked up and got on a plane to Vegas and arrived just in time to be live and in person with Erin as they participated in Master Mind group together this week. That my friends is the power of love and that power can be intensified when you also understand the Master Mind principle. Listen to the recording here to see how easy and fun it is to Master Mind with like-minded people. Since Erin and I both know the super-power of love and surrender, we are going to dedicate a large portion of our show to discussing these topics in depth. We will talk about love, sex, passion, spirituality, confidence, courage, attractiveness, yoga, dance, meditation and more. We want to have fun, listen to music, laugh and spend time with people we love. If you'd like to join us, come to our Facebook Event page and we'll keep in touch with you about our upcoming shows. * You can listen to archives of The Sheri and Erin Show on Blog Talk Radio Now.  We have interviewed some amazing guests including Kimany Marley, Bob Marley's son, Gabrielle Morris, Motivatorman, James Hyman and Cynthia Lamb.

Galvanized Facebook Friday – 05-06-11 – Beastie Boys, Hot Sauce and Music at The Sky Room

The theme of music and dancing has been well established in my life now.  It seems there is no turning back to the incredibly serious and stoic life-path I had planned for myself.  Just in time, the Beastie Boys have come out with a new album - Hot Sauce Committee Part Two. The Beastie Boys, with their trailblazing, tongue-in-cheek, "be your own person" style have always inspired me to dance and to march to the beat of my own rhythm. When I'm not able to dance, I listen in my car and sing out loud.  Here's a little compilation video I made of me driving in the car listening to the Beastie Boys but lucky for you...I'm not signing along. Not only did I get to enjoy the recorded sounds of the Beastie Boys but I got to enjoy some live music and a night on the town with my husband.  For both of us it was the first time at the famous Sky Room in Long Beach.  I must say the view is breathtaking and the club had a great vibe. In the elevator ride on the way up we learned a little history about the Sky Room.  For example, it was "a rendezvous for luminaries such as Elizabeth Taylor, Nicky Hilton, Charles Lindberg, Babe Ruth, Merle Oberon, Clark Gable, John Wayne, Errol Flynn, Cary Grant, and other celebrities." Here are a few photos from the evening.  We were celebrating Linda Leek's birthday and I got to hang out with some cool, creative, musicians and artists including jazz singer Linda Saito, aka Linderella. I'm loving the way I keep getting opportunities to enjoy music and dance and I'm looking forward to what's next.

Singer Linda Saito Creates Her Reality With Master Minding

In this video, Linda Saito and I sit down at Claire's, on the oceanfront at the Long Beach Museum of Art and talk about her Master Mind group. She shows the sample of the Master Mind Journal from Renaissance Unity and reads the Eight Steps into the Master Mind Consciousness as I take in the scenery. She talks about her goal to get more singing gigs and to sing at a luxury spa and hotel and make good money. She talks about her CD, "Hips, Lips and Fingertips" and the CD cover designed by Marty Bunch Art Originals. Saito began her professional singing career in 1973 in Honolulu and was quite successful during her 15 year run. Saito was in numerous movies and TV shows including many Hawaii 5-0 episodes, Diamond Head, Charlie's Angels, Sanford and Son and Magnum, P.I. She has appeared on stage with the inimitable Miles Davis and Ernie Washington (pianist for Billie Holiday). When Saito married, she stopped singing for 20 years. In recent years she began to feel a call to return to her singing career. Visit her MySpace page to hear more of her singing. Below is the video Linda shot of me talking about the Master Mind, on the same day. I tell her about my new Master Mind group with Christopher Westra (I Create Reality), Thea Westra (Time for My Life), Nick Pfenningworth (Live! Upgrade My Reality Coaching Bootcamp) and Chris Cade (Self-Empowerment Guidebook). We all want to use the Internet and it's connecting and communicating tools to help other people live more and be more and grow more. What that means, is we have digital products that help empower you and you can download them from almost anywhere in the world. Galvanized Facebook Friday 03-04-11 – Stretching the Comfort Zone

"People think chutzpah is in the genes. It isn't.. it's in the needing and wanting and being willing to fall on your face. It isn't fun.. who wants all that rejection, but life is sweeter if you make yourself do uncomfortable things." - Helen Gurley Brown
That was the quote I read the morning after my speech contest and it was just what I needed to hear. As I mentioned in last week's post, I competed in the Tall Tales contest and represented Division One, Area A2 Toastmasters. I signed up for the contest to challenge my fears and grow as a person and I accomplished my mission. I was pushed and pulled emotionally every step of the way. The entire experience was way out of my comfort zone. I may have looked comfortable but my insides were in a state of turmoil. I did it anyway and it was exhilarating.
From Toastmasters/ Speaking
I also had the support of my fellow Agape Toastmasters and my Savvy Soul Sisters. I actually had Cynthia Lamb pray for me before the contest began...I was that nervous. But, I showed up, I did what I planned to do and I made it through the experience galvanized. Here's another quote I got in my Daily Love newsletter the day after my contest:
"Life is a good teacher and a good friend. Things are always in transition, if we could only realize it. To stay with that shakiness - to stay with a broken heart, with a rumbling stomach, with the feeling of hopelessness and wanting to get revenge - that is the path of true awakening. Sticking with that uncertainty, getting the knack of relaxing in the midst of chaos, learning not to panic - this is the spiritual path." - Pema Chodron
After the contest, I celebrated the accomplishment of facing my fears and went to see live music at Industry Cafe & Jazz with my friend Linderella. Linderella (AKA Linda Saito) was recently honored at Industry Cafe & Jazz. Here's a video of her singing. Listening to her voice and seeing her smile with soothe your soul. Another great tool to help me make it through the utter terror of competing in a speech contest was free Yoga on the Bluff in Long Beach. I went twice this week and it was heavenly both times. I don't have a photo of the actual class in session but it takes place right here at Junipero and Ocean. There's nothing like doing Yoga while looking out at the ocean. Talk about bliss. [caption id="attachment_1518" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="The view from Junipero and Ocean. Just to the right of this is where the free yoga classes in Long Beach are held"]The view from Junipero and Ocean. Just to the right of this is where the free yoga classes in Long Beach are held[/caption] The philosophy of Yoga is that you can breathe through any difficulty, any pain, any stiffness. You can stretch yourself, you can be flexible, you can do things you didn't think you could do. The teachers always say you can take the lessons you learn on the yoga mat out into the real world. I put that premise to the test this week and it proved to be true. With that in mind, I will definitely return to Yoga on the Bluff and I look forward to flowing through the next great adventure with grace, ease.

The Stripper, The Singer and Scott Boras – It’s All about Hustle

How do you make your hustle? In this recession are any means of making an income off limits? Today on The Sheri and Erin Show we had three guests: Manaj, a former male exotic dancer, Linda Saito, singer/songwriter and Chad Chronkite, the good samaratin who found the wallet of one of baseball’s wealthiest agents, Scott Boras. The story begins on a Southern California afternoon when Chad Chronkite spots a wallet and a Blackberry in the middle of Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach. He stopped his truck, went into the middle of the street and retrieved the wallet and Blackberry. He looked through the contents of the wallet and found the passport, ID and credit cards that belonged to Scott Boras. He also found $2,300 cash. There was never a doubt in Chronkite's mind as to what he would do. He went the the Internet to try and figure out how to contact Boras. It was then that he realized he was holding the wallet of a multi-millionaire baseball tycoon. Without hesitation, he contacted Boras to make arrangements for him to get his wallet back, with all contents intact. Along the way, he told a few friends the story. One of those friends was Michael Zampelli, the site administrator for a popular hockey-fan website, letsgokings.com. Zampelli posted Chad's story on his site which created a buzz and got the attention of Press Telegram sports writer Doug Krikorian. The story was featured on the front page of the sports section Friday, August 20, it was also published on the web. A day later, Matt Coker blogged about it at OCWeekly.com. Today, Sheri and Erin interviewed Chad Chronkite and he confirmed he was never offered a financial reward for his good deed. The surprising part of the story is, he didn't want one. He just wanted to do the right thing. To hear the story in Chad Chronkite's own words, check out today's episode of The Sheri and Erin Show. You'll also hear from Manaj, a former male exotic dancer who is making a tell-all movie about the exotic dance industry and Linda Saito, a singer/songwriter extraordinaire who has appeared on stage with the inimitable Miles Davis and Ernie Washington (pianist for Billie Holiday).
