[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="346" caption="Photo by Michael Zampelli"]Backyard Hummingbird by Michael Zampelli[/caption] My husband, Michael Zampelli has been taking a series of close up photos lately. Today he captured this beautiful image of a hummingbird in still motion. Many people believe that seeing a hummingbird is a special treat and I agree. I see hummingbirds everyday but usually they are a blur that passes before my eyes. I like seeing this close up perspective so I can appreciate the hummingbirds even more than I already do. Below is another awe-inspiring close-up, this time of the moon. I'm grateful to live in a time when technology has made it possible to capture and share this image. Enjoy and let it inspire you to wonder about the many ways Life is expressed. Galvanize your mind by practicing the art of appreciation and dare to be aware and shift your perception to see the bigger picture. Dark Side of the Moon

Tonight my husband went out in the backyard, connected his camera to the telescope and took pictures of the moon. I'm pretty impressed by the close up he got right in our backyard. (Click on photo to see it full-size). It made me think of Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd. This is a classic rock album that spans generations and crosses over to several music-loving genres. Here's a photo of the moon and a YouTube video. Go ahead and howl if you feel the urge. To see more photos from Michael Zampelli, visit http://www.michaelzampelli.com/
