One of the tracks that keeps me galvanized is Galvanize by The Chemical Brothers
The tune is very cool, I like the beat and it features Q-tip who is one of my favorites (I'm a big A Tribe Called Quest fan).
The lyrics are also very motivating. It's basically about pursuing your passion/dream and letting go of fear of what others will think. I would have to say this song is almost like an anthem for my life right now. I actually hear myself saying "push the button" when I'm ready to take a big risk such as a scary phone call I have to make or sending my 'stuff' out to the world. It gives me the extra 'umph' to do things I would rather put off until 'tomorrow.'
Here's a video for you to watch. If you can't see it below, click here and see it on YouTube.

Naked Raygun Live – There’s Nothing Else Like It
Friday, September 3rd, 2010
Oh my god I loved seeing Naked Raygun live. In a sense I was spoiled because L.A. crowds never caught on to the power of this awesome Chicago sound. So, when I saw them I was as close to the stage as possible with no more than 50 people in the club. But every damn one of them was whipped into a frenzy by the time the night was over. You can't stand still or keep quiet at a Naked Raygun show.

There's nothing cool about holding back. Song of the Week – 5-4-10 – I Am Not a Robot by Marina and the Diamonds
Tuesday, May 4th, 2010
I Am Not a Robot by Marina and the Diamonds Lyrics
You've been acting awful tough lately
Smoking a lot of cigarettes lately
But inside, you're just a little baby
It's okay to say you've got a weak spot
You don't always have to be on top
Better to be hated than love, love, loved for what you're not
You're vulnerable, you're vulnerable
You are not a robot
You're loveable, so loveable
But you're just troubled
Guess what? I'm not a robot, a robot
Guess what? I'm not a robot, a robot
You've been hanging with the unloved kids
Who you never really liked and you never trusted
But you are so magnetic, you pick up all the pins
Never committing to anything
You don't pick up the phone when it ring, ring, rings
Don't be so pathetic, just open up and sing
I'm vulnerable, I'm vulnerable
I am not a robot
You're loveable, so loveable
But you're just troubled
Guess what? I'm not a robot, a robot
Guess what? I'm not a robot, a robot
Can you teach me how to feel real?
Can you turn my power on?
Well, let the drum beat drop
Guess what? I'm not a robot
Guess what? I'm not a robot
Guess what? I'm not a robot, a robot
Guess what? I'm not a robot, a robot
Guess what? I'm not a robot, a robot
Guess what? I'm not a robot, a robot

This Song is About You
Tuesday, April 27th, 2010
Watch it on YouTube.
This video with lyrics included is all about taking charge of your life and it all begins by taking charge of your mind. One of the first lyrics is "half the kids that you grew up with were pushin' prams by the time that they were just sixteen" then later, those same kids "aren't pushin' prams are pushin' pills to boys and girls who are half their age" (In case you aren't familiar with the word pram it refers to what most American's call a baby stroller.)
I'm here to tell you it's never too late to change your mind and thereby change the course of your life. If you need help, there is a free MP3 hypnosis download at icreatehabits.com titled Create the Life You Want.
If you have a problems with self-sabotage, check out the book From Sabotage to Success.

Okay, maybe this only applies if you're over 40 but the truth is, when I hear funk and soul from the 70's I feel like a superhero.
I think afros and bell bottoms, I think bangs and wings in your hair. I think platforms, Elton John and Wonder Woman. I especially think dancing...you know, like Soul Train or something. I looked forward to Soul Train every Saturday morning. How about you?
If so, you'll probably like the Stevie Wonder channel I created on Pandora.com.
